Its continuous growth and modernization have positioned it as a key player in both national and international connectivity.
How to get to Malaga Airport
If you’re looking for the best way to get to Malaga Airport, there are several transportation options that will allow you to arrive comfortably and on time.
By car: If you prefer to drive, you can take the A-7 motorway (known as the Mediterranean Motorway) if you’re coming from the west coast, or the MA-21 if you’re traveling from the center of Malaga. Follow the signs indicating “Aeropuerto,” and you’ll be on the direct route to the airport.
Buses and public transport: Malaga’s bus network has lines connecting the city center to the airport. You can check schedules and routes on the website of Malaga’s public transportation company. Additionally, the C-1 suburban train also connects the airport to the central station in Malaga.
Taxi and transfer services: Taxis are a convenient and fast option to reach the airport. You can also choose private transfer services, which offer comfort and convenience, especially if you’re traveling with luggage or in a group.
How to Park…
RECEPTION:
Before arriving at Malaga Airport, you should have made a reservation with us to park your vehicle.
We recommend that you give us a call while you’re en route to the airport so that we can arrange everything in advance, thus avoiding any unnecessary waiting. Effective communication with us ensures the smooth execution of the service; you, as our valued customer, are in control, and we are here to provide you with the parking service.
Paying attention to the signs at Malaga Airport is crucial. Always follow the signs for “SALIDAS – SÓLO AUTORIZADOS,” indicated by an airplane taking off on the signage, leading you in that direction.
Once you’ve reached the Departures terminal with your car, obtain a parking ticket at the terminal’s barrier. Proceed past a spacious building with a glass structure and high ceiling, situated on your right-hand side. After passing this building, which is the new terminal, you’ll notice the need to make a left turn, directing you to the terminal’s dedicated parking area. Head to the end of this area, situated between columns 12 and 14, where our staff will be waiting. This is where we’ll collect your car and subsequently return it to you.
Our Malaga-parking staff, easily identifiable by their green polo shirts with a red “1” embroidered on the back, as well as blue caps featuring an embroidered “1,” will handle the reception and return of your vehicle. During the collection process, we’ll photograph the vehicle for security purposes. This photo will be recorded in the contract, including the delivery time and date, creating a record of your vehicle’s condition upon deposit. Upon collecting your vehicle, we’ll provide you with a contract, and from that moment onward, your vehicle will be covered by our insurance company.
RETURN:
Upon your return to Malaga Airport to retrieve your vehicle, there are two procedures based on whether you have checked baggage or not.
-
NO, I have no checked baggage: If you’re traveling without checked baggage, we strongly encourage you to give us a call as soon as you disembark from the aircraft.
-
YES, I have checked baggage: If you have checked baggage, please call us promptly after collecting your final bag from the conveyor belt.
The most convenient way to reach the designated meeting point is by heading to the departures area, located one level above the baggage claim. Instead of exiting the building to the right into the greeting hall, remain inside and proceed straight ahead. Use the stairs or escalator on your immediate left. While in the departure terminal, exit the building and make your way to the meeting point.
Always bear in mind that effective communication between you and Malaga Parking is the key to a successful experience, ensuring your utmost satisfaction.
Once you’ve experienced our Malaga Parking system at Malaga Airport, you’ll find no need to seek an alternative.
